At times during that process it will be important to revisit things from the past that have impacted the present and can shape the future.  As a counselor it is my goal to support you in the  journey toward change with compassion and understanding, while being direct and realistic. I understand the unique characteristics of each person & will tailor my services to meet your needs, while remaining professional and authentic.”

Louise has been working in the Behavioral Health field since 2000 and has a vast range of experiences from working with youth and young adults in residential facilities to traumatized youth and families impacted by community violence.  She has experience with different treatment modalities such as intakes, psychosocial assessments, trauma assessments, individual therapy and family therapy. With an extensive history working with youth, adolescents and teens, the involvement of caregivers in treatment is imperative to success; while working with youth as young 8 years old allows creative expression and avenues for the clinician to learn from the client.

Louise’s experience in the field started in a Correctional Facility during her undergraduate studies, upon graduation she provided direct care services to youth in the foster care system. In 2005 she completed her Master of Arts in School & Professional Counseling & in 2006 became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
